Fixed vs rolling

Fixed code stays the same every press. Rolling code changes so a copied signal will not work.

You cannot mix the two on one receiver. A rolling-code remote will not teach into a fixed-code box.

Read the existing Transmitter Solutions remote or receiver. If it has DIP switches, it is usually fixed code.
